Anticipating summer

I love summer. I love the change during spring, I love the smell of hot dry air, the slight sheen of perspiration on the skin, the slight haze in the air that blurs distant objects, the feeling of heat everywhere. I don’t like humid, cloying heat, nor do I like excessive sweating, but nothing beats the feel of warm summer air.

I can feel it already….

…Not that today has been the warm summer day I’ve been anticipating. Wind is chilly! The sun was out, but it felt more like a nice winter day than spring. Still, I much prefer that than rain. Rain is only fun when you have a rear wheel drive car and a big empty car park to yourself.

Yes sir, this body was made for the temperate climes!
