Eat it, Brendan Nelson!

Macquarie Uni students Giselle and Heidi Finnane put the boot into Satan
1. Yeah eat it, motherfucker. That’s what a public education has taught me.
2. Those who have talked to me for more than five minutes have probably heard me mention how much I hate him. Here’s a guy who got a medical degree paid for by the state but is now in favour of a user pays system, believes in Voluntary Student Unionism (despite the fact that Student Unions provide much of the services at universities — things like computer labs, cafeterias and sporting facilities), and is calling for “Intelligent Design” to be taught in high school science classes. I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire.
3. But oh, vengeance is sweet indeed — especially at the hands of those you seem to despise so much. The story accompanying that photo was found in the Herald’s Spike column yesterday (24/9/05):
The federal Education Minister Brendan Nelson found himself the target of a swift ambush marketing exercise while watching his daughter’s hockey grand final match at North Ryde last Sunday.
The Government’s proposed voluntary student unionism legislation has been criticised for in effect killing off university sport, along with just about every other service offered by student groups.
Nelson had called in to the North Ryde hockey field to watch his daughter play, and the match that had just ended featured teams from Macquarie University and UTS.
The story goes that Nelson had been spotted in the crowd when students, including two Macquarie players, Giselle Finnane and her sister, Heidi, pictured above, hatched their plan to get him to unwittingly take part in their protest.
“They had a loud conversation behind him regarding the impact of VSU on uni life,” a spy said.
“Then Heidi wrote the sign, set it up and then tapped him on the shoulder to get him to turn around just in time for the shot.”
Nelson’s office failed to come back with a comment on the innovative protest tactic yesterday.
4. Bwhahahaha!
